  • Cookbook launch event- Hometown Success Story – Local Chef Turned Author Launches Innovative Cookbook

    Christopher Riesbeck, a Granger, IN native who has embarked on a fascinating journey from local chef to bestselling author.Christopher, an alumnus of Marian Catholic High School and Ivy Tech Community College, is the author of "Simple and Satisfying: Vegetables," an innovative cookbook that invites readers to transform their relationship with vegetables. His culinary career began right here in Granger, with early jobs at Bar Louie and Ruth's Chris before moving away to further his education and skills. What makes Christopher's story particularly interesting is the unique approach he took to write and publish his book. Leveraging cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology, OpenAI's ChatGPT, he was able to complete his cookbook, combining his professional culinary expertise with the assistance of this revolutionary AI tool.
    Christopher Riesbeck is set to host an official book launch and signing at Bar Louie on July 30th. Christopher's journey from local chef to accomplished author, coupled with his innovative use of AI technology, presents an inspiring success story.

    Scandinavian Festival celebrating 150 years in Elkhart with Historical and Cultural displays, Crafts and Games, Nordic Dancers, Nyckelharpa Player, Taste of Scandinavian, Storytelling, Photo Ops Pretzels and Ice Cream.

  • Elkhart River Cleanup 2023

    Help us out with our annual river cleanup! This yearÕs event will consist of a canoe ride from the EEC to American Park. If you would like to help us collect trash in and along the river, sign up for a canoe spot (spots are limited and participants must be 12 & older). Our ride will end around noon at American Park, where we will meet up with a ground crew to unload and dispose of the garbage collected. Volunteers wishing to help on the ground crew should come prepared to get wet!

    Canoe volunteers should meet at the EEC at 8 AM. Ground crew volunteers should meet at 12 PM at American Park for unloading. Pre-registration is recommended and can be completed at https://signup.com/go/JehRkmE

  • Pumpkin Hunt

    Get the family out in nature this fall during our returning Pumpkin Hunt! Join the hunt along our trails throughout the month of October to search for pumpkins hidden along the paths. Beginning October 1st, a total of 10 small plastic pumpkins will be hidden across our site; if you find one, return it to a staff member during business hours for a fall prize! The hunt will last through October 31st or until all pumpkins have been found. Trails are open dawn to dusk daily, so come and search any time. Limit one pumpkin per family, please.

    This activity is FREE and there is no registration required. Kids of all ages are welcome to participate!

    Please note, this is a self-guided trail activity.

  • JAM Revival Rally

    On October 7th, 2023 at 5:00pm Living Hope Ministries Church is hosting a FREE event for Indiana youth! We are located at 595 E 350 N Warsaw, IN. This year's theme is "Just say Yes". Saying YES to God's plan for your life. Our guest speaker, Garrett Prewitt from Lifepoint Church in Munie, IN and a worship band, Judah First Band (CC'd in case you would love their AWESOME music) are ready to serve our youth this evening!

    This is a FREE event for attendees but we will have a concession stand open during intermission. There is a virtual love offering open through Venmo (Haley-Donahue-10 or "Sunny Days"). Senders are being posted on the Facebook page as "Sponsors". There will also be a love offering that evening. All money goes towards the event and to Garrett and Judah First Band.
