Simply place items in the collection box on our CabinÕs front porch and we will take care of the rest. Thank you for recycling and reducing your waste this holiday season!

Old Fashioned Christmas

Looking for a unique fun-filled Christmas family activity to kick off the season? On Sat. Nov. 25, 5:30 Ð 8:00 P.M., head to Oakwood Resort in Syracuse for an outdoor event, ChautauquaÕs Old Fashioned Christmas. You will encounter Santa and his reindeer (for petting), a Christmas photo booth, the Live Nativity, the reading of the Christmas story from the Bible in the historic Oakwood chapel AND of course, the Big Tree Lighting at 6:15 following the big countdown. Be on the lookout for roaming Christmas characters. Stop and listen to one of the many strolling musical groups. Listen to an elf read the Night Before Christmas. Get warmed up with some hot chocolate and munch on a cookie. DonÕt forget to pick up some Deer food to take home for SantaÕs reindeer. New this year - games for children on the path behind the event center. DonÕt forget a relaxing and enjoyable horse drawn wagon ride around the park. These are just some of the many fun activities at the Old Fashioned Christmas celebration.
