Celebrate the season of love with us at our annual Eco-ValentineÕs Day program at the Elkhart Environmental Center! Stop by our VisitorÕs Cabin any time from 12 PM to 2 PM on Sunday, February 9th to create recycled valentine cards and crafts, explore our trails on a festive scavenger hunt, and enjoy light refreshments throughout the program. Registration for this family-friendly program is $1 per person. Advance registration is limited and required by Thursday, February 6th. Chautauqua-WawaseeÕs 2025 Spring musical program will feature the Ball State University Singers, an elite musical show choir. The choir of forty students, singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and sound technicians will perform a wide variety of popular hits songs and musical theater in a 90-minute show at Wawasee High School in Syracuse. Under the direction of Jodi Cotton-Street, the show promises to be a powerful celebration of faith, hope, laughter, and love with a sparkling performance showcasing music that is encouraging, uplifting, and inspiring. A number of the University Singers choir members are graduates from local and regional area high schools. When: February 16, 3:30 Ð 5: PM. Doors open at 3:00. |

Join us for our Bluebird Box Workshop on one of two nights Ð Wednesday, February 19th or Friday, February 21st Ð at the Elkhart Environmental Center to learn all about the habits, breeding behavior, and history of the Eastern Bluebird, then build your own nesting box to install at home. Both workshops will be held from 6:00 PM Ð 7:30 PM on their respective nights; sign up for the evening that works best for you! Nest box kits are $5 each and limited to one per household.
